Robert (Bob) Small, 82, passed away Sept 9, 2007 at Mercy Hospital. Robert Eugene Small was born January 31st, 1925, in Dayton Ohio.
He served as a Merchant Marine, and spent three years in the US Army Air Corps during WW II as a Crew Chief on B-24's.
On November 6th, 1948, he was united in marriage to Gloria Davolt.
Robert graduated from Indiana University with a teaching degree and spent most of his life teaching and coaching throughout Iowa. Robert loved football, baseball, golf, NASCAR, and spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his wife Gloria and four children: Vickie Carreras of New York, Bryan Small of Iowa City, Susan Norman of Waterloo, and Tim Small of West Des Moines. He is also survived by 10 grand children and 9 great-grand children.
