Service Details
Hazel Marguerite Eben, age 97, of Franklin, TN, formerly of Adel/Des Moines, IA, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, October 9, 2014. Services will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Pkwy, West Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery, Adel.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne Alan (Jeannie) and Roger Lee (Karen) Eben; grandchildren, Jenny DeCosta, Bartholomew (Alicia) Eben, Amber Eben, and Rachel (Nick) Culpepper; great-grandchildren, Alexis DeCosta, Dalyn DeCosta, Zachary Culpepper, and Lucas Culpepper; sister-in-law, Phyllis Brown; nieces, Linda Jording and Barb (John) Trier; and a host of family and friends in Tennessee and Iowa.

Dear Roger and Karen, I am grieved for your loss. You have been faithful to serve Ms Hazie during the years of her illness. And I know she was a blessing to you also. I will pray for in your loneliness. With much love

Ms. Hazie was beyond any doubt the most gracious lady I have ever met. My soul has been blessed by who she was. Roger and I miss her terribly but we know she's at rest.
