William "Bill" Snyder

William “Bill” Snyder, 79, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at Unity Point Health Des Moines Methodist.

Bill was born April 24, 1935 in Des Moines to Harry and Edna (Elder) Snyder.
He served in the U.S. Marines. Bill was a pressman for the Des Moines Register for 45 years.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Diane; sons, Steve (Gail) Snyder and Michael Snyder; step-grandson, James Caldwell; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harold Snyder.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
