Roxie Lee Shelton, 65, passed away September 6, 2007 at his home after a long battle with cancer. A visitation will be held Sunday, September 9th from 3-6pm at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. Roxie’s body will be cremated following the visitation.
Roxie was born April 8, 1942 in Chariton, Iowa to Donald and Carol Shelton. He worked for Pirelli Armstrong for 34 years and most recently for Priorty Express. Roxie, known as “Mr. Fix It” enjoyed fishing, always trying to catch the ever elusive Moten Gator, dancing, traveling, listening to oooooold country music and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Roxie is survived by his wife, Nancy; his sons, Tim (Patty) Shelton, Stephen (Chris) Shelton, and Mark Shelton; his daughters, Kristin Kuntz and Lisa (Bob) Payton; his father, Donald Shelton; his brother, Jerry Shelton; his sisters, Sandy Bennett and Lynn (“Nick”) Cosmas and his eleven grandchildren. Roxie was preceded in death by his mother Carol Shelton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Hospice.
