J. Ray Thomas

J. Ray Thomas, 78, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3pm Saturday at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home.
Ray was born November 18, 1928 to Pearl and Dwight Thomas in
Pleasantville. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a self employed Truck Driver. Ray enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife Florence. He was known for his storytelling. Ray loved spending time with his family.
Ray is survived by his children, Steven Thomas (Joyce) of Plano, IA, Karol Byers (Mike) of Perry: His brothers, Verle Thomas (Dorothy) of Chula Vista, CA. and Fred Thomas of Fontana, CA.; His sisters, Evelyn Unwin of Fullerton, CA,
Dorothy Whitlatch of Knoxville, IA, Betty Visser of Harvey, IA and Helen Thomas of Chula Vista, CA; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Thomas, his brothers, Arthur and William Thomas, his sister, Rachel Howard and his parents.
