Elma June Wilson

Elma J. Wilson, 86, of Des Moines passed away peacefully on September 10, 2014 at Parkridge Specialty Care in Pleasant Hill. She was born on March 16, 1928 in Murray, Iowa to Carl and Maxine (Zink) Siefkas.
Elma is survived by her children, Judy (Roger) Ritchhart, Roger (Tammy) Brand, Donald (Marcy) Brand, Wanda (Roger) Hardy and Scott Brand; step-children, Donna (Larry) Jones and Judy (Richard) Williams; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Marilyn) Siefkas; and sister-in-law, Jeannie Siefkas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; daughter at birth, Kathleen; granddaughter, Mindy; and brothers, Richard, Bud and Boyd.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Parkridge Specialty Care and Care Initiatives Hospice for their loving care of Elma.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Lutheran Church of Hope, 925 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Interment will take place at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Memorials may be directed to Lutheran Church of Hope and to Care Initiatives Hospice.

Wanda and family, We are so very sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a wonderful woman who always had a smile. Please know that she will forever be in your heart and she now has her loving arms around Mindy and they are both watching over you all!

Elma will be missed as she takes her place in her final journey. She was a special person who made my dad very happy. Her heart was huge & her death leaves a heartache only memories will heal. My family sends all her family our thoughts & prayers at such a difficult time.

Want to let her family know how much she meant to my father, Ralph Wilson. Your mother was devoted to him and gave him such pleasure. She was always there when any of us needed her. I know my dad was waiting for her and they have been reunited. Sending all my families love and prayers for you all at this very sad time.
