James “Jimmy” LeRoy Sams, 57, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 4, 2014. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on January 6, 1957.
He is survived by his children, Jimmy, Sandy, Jessie, Bryer, Emmett, and Tiffany; longtime companion, Sherry; brother, Clarence; sisters, Linda, and Joyce; step-mother, Patricia; and many beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George, Sr. and Beverly Joan; step-father, Don; brothers, George and Robert “Bobby”; and sister, Zena.
Celebration of Life Service will be held, 7 p.m., Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at New Life Christian Fellowship, 2409 SE 6th Street in Des Moines.
His family takes great comfort in knowing he has gone to be with other loved ones.
