Ilija Anic

Ilija Anic, 50, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on April 2, 1964 in Teslic, Bosnia and Herzegovina to Ivo and Kata (Svalina) Anic.

Ilija worked construction for many years and loved fishing and listening to Seljacka Muzika (Sargija). He was the best Husband, Father and Grandfather one could ever wish for and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Luca; children, Ivoslav, Mirela (Toni) Malic and Antonela; grandchildren, Ilijana and Ivan Malic; and siblings, Jelica, Janja, Ana, Iva, Mara, Nada, Mira and Ivan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3663 66th St., Urbandale with visitation on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
