Donna Lee Clark of Des Moines, Iowa 75, passed away on August 19, 2014 at 11:50 am. Donna was born on August 7, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa to Melvin Simpson and Audrey (Hook) Simpson and later adopted by Frank Clark.
Donna is survived by her mother Audrey Clark of Iowa; her four daughters - Sandra Sheldon of Oklahoma, Lorraine Walker of Iowa, Angeline Connelly of Oklahoma, and Jeanne Beason of Indiana; her three brothers, Rod Clark of Iowa, Stan Clark of Iowa, Ken Clark of MN.; her sister Patricia (Clark) Mettler of Iowa; and 23 grandchildren and 10+ great grandchildren.
Donna enjoyed writing songs for country singers, she wrote and got some Nationwide Bluebook Award for her poetry. She enjoyed her friends at the nursing home and going to weekly church services, Bible Studies and talking to her children on the phone.
Per her wishes, cremation has occurred and no services will be held.

Just wanted you to how much Bob Johnson misses you so much.he still crys for you.I stay close to him still to this day.I and my family gos to see him at the nursing home.and call him every other day.took him up some photos of you guys before you left us.he sleep with it hung above his bed.well mama until next time.I do love you so so much.you will never no how much.

Mama oh I miss you so much.I will always love you.its been 6 months.its still hurts as bad today as the day you left us.Bob at the nursing home misses you too.we talk almost everyday.we are still close today.zay still called him grandpa Bob.and they have long talks.will good by for now mama I love you

We loved having you with me and my family the last seven years of your life.you have touched many of our hearts.at my house and at the nursing home.we was with you until the end.I love you so much.I remember how funny you was that you would never let anyone ever touch your grandson robert connelly s radioyou kept it in your pocket until you died or that brown coat that almeda gave you.you wore it winter and summer .you would never take it off. you're so funny mama I love you

dear grandma ...you are missed ...humm a memory I have of you is when you can to stay with us you had your dog bear with you ohh how you loved that dog ...I remember your smile most it was so big and your hugs there was so tight ...sad that your gone but I'm ok because I kno you are in heaven smiling down on all of us ...my memory of you will always be there and they will never faide away ...R.I.P
