Virginia "Mo" Miller
August 17, 2014
Virginia, 92 passed away peacefully on August 17, 2014 with her family at her side. She was born on March 1, 1922 in Newton, Iowa and spent most of her young life there. Mo moved to Des Moines where she raised her children and later moved to West Des Moines where she lived until her passing. She retired from Armstrong Tire where she worked in the front office. Mo also volunteered for many years at Des Moines General Hospital. She was a true animal lover and has passed that love of animals on to her entire family. She will be missed very much by her family and friends.
Mo is survived by her two children, Trudy Brown of Clinton, Iowa and Bill Miller of Klamath Falls, Oregon; five grandchildren, Carol Sinn (Marne) of Minneapolis, Julie LeClere of West Des Moines, and Bill, Ron and Dale Miller of Klamath Falls, Oregon; nine great-grandchildren, including two in West Des Moines, McKenna and Carsyn LeClere. Mo was preceded in death by her parents, sister and grandson.
Her family wishes to thank Mercy Hospice in Johnston for their wonderful care this past week, her neighbor John for his help over the years and her very good friend Lois Mertes.
At Virginia’s request, there will be no services. The family will have a private gathering to celebrate her life on August 20, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donation be made to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa or Furry Friends Refuge in West Des Moines. Rest in peace Mo. We love you.
