Charlesene "Charlee" Stout

Charlesene Wilma Stout, 87, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014. She was born in Mystic, Iowa on August 22, 1926 to Mike and Janie Stout. Her career in education led her to live in various locations, Des Moines, IA; Johnson City, NY; Alamosa, CO; Dubuque, IA; and West Des Moines, IA. She spent her career first as a teacher in New York State and then as a counselor. She earned her Bachelor of Religious Education degree from Baptist Bible Seminary at Johnson City, NY in 1961; her Masters of Science in Education from State University of New York College at Cortland, NY in 1965; and her Master of Arts from Adams State College at Alamosa, CO in 1970. CharLee was devoted to her students and their education.

She will be remembered by her sisters, Nola Stout and Marcella (Donald) Ansley; her brother, Harold (LaVeda) Stout; and numerous nieces, nephews and best friends. Charlee was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sara Childress; and brother, Mike Stout.
