Norma Wallace

Norma A. (Cannon) Wallace passed away peacefully the morning of August 8, 2014 in her home. Per her request, there will be no services. She will be cremated and her ashes will be joined with those of her loving husband Bob for interment at Resthaven Cemetery.

Norma was born October 20, 1924 in Canton, OH to Perry and Hazel Cannon. She was a lifelong homemaker and devoted mother to four children. She is predeceased by her husband Bob, to whom she was married for 63 years. Norma was “best friends” to everyone who lived within blocks of the Wallace home on 75th Street in Windsor Heights. She delighted both friends and family with her playful sense of humor during her entire life of 89 years.

She is survived by her son Bruce (Suzanne) Wallace of Tucson, AZ; her daughters, Bette Lu (Jim) Gilford of Santa Cruz, CA; Penny Sue (Dan) Meridith of Conway, AR; and Bobbie Lin (Jim) Moon of Arvada, CO; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild and her brother Jerry Cannon of San Diego, CA.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Salvation Army in loving memory of Norma.
