Mary Dorothy Senecaut

Mary Dorothy (Noes) Senecaut was born December 3, 1921 in Ashland, WI, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Pugal) Noes. She was a member of Our Lady of the Americas Catholic Church. Mary bravely served her country in the U.S. Women’s Army Corp and was a member of the American Legion.

Mary passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 at Des Moines Nursing and Rehab at age 92. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Voltaire “Frenchy” Senecaut; step-son, Voltaire “Bud” (Madge) Senecaut; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, John (Phyllis) Noes and Betty Lee.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 8 at Our Lady of the Americas Catholic Church, 1271 East 9th Street, Des Moines. Burial with military honors will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery following the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Our Lady of the Americas Catholic Church.
