Barbara Brooks

Barbara Jill Brooks went home to be with her Lord and Savior August 30, 2007. She has lived in Des Moines for many years.
Her going home celebration will be held at Maple Street Baptist on Friday September 7, 2007 at 1:00pm. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service time.
Barbara was a women of God She had been active with Maple Street Baptist Church where she had been the church secretary for ten years. She collected clowns and had passion for cross-word puzzles. Barbara considered her family the most important part of her life. She especially loved her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking and socializing with neighbors and friends.
She leaves her loving children to mourn; Darryl H. (Marilyn) Williams, Barbara A. Ross, Pastor Dwain M. (Donna) Brooks, Pastor Andre (Charlene) Brooks, Debra W. Brooks and Paula (Mark) Greene and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth S. Williams, her parents, one brother, Neal, a sister Pamelia and a half-sister, Jesse.
