Debra Delynn Hamilton, 50, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 7, 2014.
Debra was born September 17, 1963 in Kansas City, KS to Donald and Aloha Hester. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her Meha. Debra enjoyed gardening, motorcycles, and music. She was so funny and full of life. Debra worked for many years as a file clerk for Methodist Hospital and most recently at Chef D’s Rock Power Pizza.
She is survived by her daughter, Rachael Rodriguez; son, Eric Hester; grandchildren, Martha Zapata-Rodriguez, Estrella Rodriguez, Analia Zamora, Rayn Robinson, Eric Berry II, and Amirah Delynn Berry; mother, Aloha Hester; sisters, Shandi Braafhart and Ronda Harris; and grandmother, Rosemary Scheffler.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Joseph; father, Donald Hester; and grandfather, Roy Scheffler.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Radiant Church, 717 E 26th Street.

I'm really lost for words. Deb really was a good person with such a big heart. And treated everyone in one of the best ways. She had a big heart. I didn't know her for long, but she always treated me like se accepted me and like family. Her smile and her goofy laugh was always one if my favorite things about her. And the love she had for her two granddaughters, was wonderful to see. Deb had such a big heart! It's been two years since I've seen her but she always has been in my thoughts. Rest in paradise deb! Rachael, Eric, shandi, Ronda, and Sam, you are all in my thoughts and prayers along with your children that lost an aunt and a grandmother.

Delynn was one of my favorite people to talk to she had a lasting impression on almost everyone she met. She was such a strong woman that it made me look up to her in many was. She used to joke with me and say she would teach me the ways of a cougar and I was her puma in training. I will never forget our hilarious nights at her cute little apartment down the street from me. It's sad to say goodbye but I know shes in a better place and no longer has to put on the strong face. I love you Delynn!
