Alice Folsom

Alice L. Folsom, 87, died on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at the Calvin Community in Des Moines. Alice was born on April 18, 2007 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of George Spillner and Jeannette Rice Spillner. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Hamilton’s Souhtown Funeral Home with cremation following the service. Burial of the cremains will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas at a later date. A visitation will be held from 9-10 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
She had worked in the accounting department at Des Moines Iron and Supply for many years. Alice loved to dance, especially to big band music, was an Elvis fan and was a member of the Salvation Army Temple Corps. She is survived by her brother Roy Spillner of Dallas, Texas and was preceded in death by her husband William Folsom and many brothers and sisters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Temple Corps.
