Catherine Chiodo

Catherine Marie Chiodo, 77, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Mercy Hospice leaving her infirmities behind. Catherine made her home with her sister Nancy Chiodo Harrison and her husband Dennis. She was preceded in death by her father Guiseppi and mother Josephine DeFrancisco Chiodo.

Catherine attended St. Joseph Academy and worked many years in Environmental Services at Iowa Methodist Hospital. She loved her family, faith, the Saints, movie stars, NBA/NFL and the Democrats.

Her niece and nephews were the joy of her life: Denise Harrison Helland, her beloved Joe, Christopher, Scott and David Harrison and their spouses and children. Our gratitude goes to Dr. David whose skill and care sustained her.

A Latin Mass of Christian burial will be held at Noon, Monday, June 30, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with visitation at 10:30 prior to the Mass. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
