Terry Michael Plummer

Terry Michael Plummer, 75, passed away June 24, 2014.  Visitation and sharing of memories will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA.  
Terry was born on September 25, 1938 to Norma and John Plummer.  He graduated from Valley High School and then attended Simpson College.  Prior to retiring, Terry was the owner operator of Crown Craft Printing.  He was in the printing industry all his life and was known for his expertise in the printing business and a leader in preserving the art of printing in Des Moines.  Terry and his wife, Ginger, raised Siberian Huskies and enjoyed spending time dog sledding with their teams.  Terry was a talented carpenter and craftsman and built his own home. 
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Ginger; his children, Scott Plummer, Kelly Snowgren, and Kris Bassette; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Kalem Snowgren, Jacob and Jamie Cotten, Jessica Heithoff, Christopher Williams, and Natalie Payan; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Makayla Snowgren, Isaac and Isaiah Heithoff, and Josiah Williams.  Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis.

I know Scott very little. And I don't know where he is now but if he ever sees this...I am terribly sorry for ur loss and same to the rest of the family. Guess I didn't know u had lost ur father when we met and I know it is difficult to talk about and I am deeply sorry.

I met Terry back in 1971 while working at Des Moines Savings and Loan. Very sorry to hear of his passing. I knew Ginger from growing up in as a neighbor and friend.

I remember Terry. He was a tennant of ours at 615 Center Street, Terry was a very hard worker, who always strived for perfection. My condolences to his family on your loss.

Ginger, my condolences to you and your family. I recall at our last class reunion how he was still the same "happy" guy I knew at Valley High. I know he has left you all with many wonderful memories. That's a gift any family would want.

I won a writing prize and Terry was second when we were in 6th grade or Jr. High, so I've known him a long time! I remember his sense of humor and ambition. I'm sorry for your loss and am sure you also have many good memories.
