Cuom Cam, 82, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 19, 2014.
Cuom was born January 15, 1932 in Vietnam to Chan Hoang and Ing Hoang.
The most important thing to Cuom was her family. She was totally devoted to her husband and enjoyed making her family laugh. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she always had candy for them and liked taking part in their lives. She was such a happy person and always had a smile on her face. Cuom was a very talented seamstress and could knit anything perfectly. She was an example to her family of happiness and her light will be greatly missed.
Cuom is survived by her husband, Hoan Cam; sons, Houng Cam (Hai), Bounmy Cam (Noy), Pek Cam (Phone), Tete Cam (Poui), and Lo Cam; daughters, Dzoan Cam (Toui), Symone Cam (Pond), Davone Cam (Gop), and Tata Cam (Thong); 23 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; siblings, Loan Hoang, Lien Hoang, and Leua Hoang.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chan and Ing Hoang; daughters, Lim Cam and Loa Cam; granddaughter, Stephanie Pathammovong; and siblings, Yeun Hoang, Yiem Hoang, Ding Hoang, Dang Hoang and Lai Hoang.
Funeral service will be 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
