Service Details
James Gerald Crawford, 80, passed away June 16, 2014 at Mitchell Village Care Center. He was born August 17, 1933 in Des Moines to James Marion and Frances (Runyan) Crawford. He proudly served in the United States Navy and worked as a mechanical engineer for Exelon until his retirement in 1998.
James enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
James is survived by his sisters, Karen Frint, Joyce Haines, Diane (Bob) Gilson, and Sheila Stanton; son, Scott Owens; grandchildren, Payton, Ava, and Sawyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Robert.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Mitchellville Community Center, 114 2nd Street NE.
