Brandon Gully-Dodd, angel born on June 14, 2014. He is survived by his mother, Kamesha Gully; Father, Brandon Michael Dodd; brother, KeShawn Gully; sisters, Bailey Criswell-Dodd, Tamia Dodd, Tiana Dodd; maternal grandmother, Helen Gully; paternal grandmother, Brenda Welch; paternal grandfather, Michael A. Dodd; paternal great grandparents Mary and Leonard Rife; maternal great grandfather Percy McElroy; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brandon is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edward McElroy, maternal great grandmothers, Irene Gully and Perlie McElroy.

We couldn't wait for you to join us down here
Now you are one of God's angels up there
We know you understand how hard it is to let go
And as much as we don't want to admit, we really do know
You are in a far way better place than this Earth
Which is why He took you just before your birth

He did not allow you to enter this world of sin
I am so thankful you don't have to go where we've been
And you don't ever have to struggle the way that we did
But I will always cherish the time you spent between my ribs
You are so blessed to have received a first class seat to heaven
I'm working my way up there so we will meet again

In the meantime, your father and I must move on
For the sake of your siblings, we must remain strong
It's hard for them, never meeting you, but have to say bye
It's even harder for us to try to explain to them why
There little brother was taken abruptly and so soon
And why he will not be coming home to the blue room

You will always be in our hearts
And for this reason, we will never be apart
This is not a good bye; but until the next time
I trust in God to take care of my little guy
Until that time, may your soul rest peacefully
And know that we love you for all eternity
