Robert Yaw

Robert Dwane Yaw, 78, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

Bob was born August 11, 1935 in Byesville, Ohio. He was retired from the Air Force and was a professional musician, mastering many instruments, experimenting with others, and enjoying all of them. He and his wife, Teri were members of Professional Musicians & Entertainers Club of Iowa.

Bob is survived by his wife, Teri; daughters, Diana and Mary; step-children, Ed Knapp and Kim Templeton; and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-son, Patrick Knapp.

Service will be held at Faith Independent Assembly of God, 6001 SW 14th Street, Des Moines on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Family will begin greeting friends at 10:00 a.m. with funeral to start at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Van Meter.
