Henry "Hank" William Evans

Hank Evans was born August 26, 1997 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was taken much too soon on May 30, 2014 at the age of 16.

Hank was known for his incredible sense of humor and his love of life. He was also a tremendous athlete focusing on his passions…football and weight-lifting at Johnston High School. Hank accepted Christ as his Savior at a young age, and modeled his faith to his youth group, classmates and friends.

Hank’s legacy will live on through his gift of life through organ donation. Several lives were saved, and more than 100 impacted by his gift of life.

He is survived by his parents, Clint and Lori Evans; siblings, Lexi (Steve) Ostiguy, and Addy Evans; grandparents, Bill and Naomi Whalen of Johnston, IA and Cliff Evans of Marion, IA; other loving relatives; many special friends; and the family dog, Chili. Hank was preceded in death by his Grammy Diane Evans.

Visitation will be from 3-7 pm on Wednesday, June 4 at Johnston Evangelical Free Church, 9901 NW 62nd Ave, Johnston, Iowa. Services will also be held at the church on Thursday, June 5 at 10 am. A private burial will take place immediately following the ceremony.
