Stephen Rehms, 72, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Stephen was born January 19, 1942 in Des Moines to Donald Rehms, Sr. and Fern EkDahl Rehms. He was a loving grandfather and enjoyed ice fishing at Lake Mille Lacs with his sons.
Stephen is survived by his loving significant other, Vicki Freerksen; sons, Steve Rehms, Jr. (Jackie) and Robert Rehms; grandchildren, Chelsea, McKenzie, Krystal, Hunter, and Nicholas; brother, Danny Rehms (Dolores); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Pete Rehms.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5 at Capitol Hill Lutheran Church, 511 Des Moines Street, with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
