Robert Crees

Robert W. Crees, Sr., age 93, was born August 2, 1920 in Barney, Iowa. He enjoyed fishing in Minnesota and on Lake Ponderosa. He also liked going to auctions and antiquing. Bob was active in Union Park Grace Fellowship Church and was an Army Veteran of WWII. Bob passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines with his family by his side.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, also at the funeral home, followed by burial at Wallace Cemetery in Wick, Iowa.

Bob is survived by his wife, Marjorie; sons, Robert “Bob” W. Crees, Jr., Louis (Martha) Crees, and John (Kim) Crees; step-son, Dale Miller; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Pauline Crees; first wife, Eunice; and sisters, Lois and Doris.
