Jewell Taft

Jewell M. Fisher Taft, 89, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 surrounded by family at her home. She was born June 19, 1924 to Jesse and Emma Fisher in Ottumwa, Iowa.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Taft, and Shirley Parcel; and brother, Darrell Fisher. Jewell was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; children, Gerald Taft, and Joyce Taft; six brothers; one sister; and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2014, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
