Megan Allsup was born July 26, 2002 in Mason City, Iowa. She was taken much too soon on May 25, 2014 at University of Nebraska Medical Center at the age of 11.
Megan was a strong, courageous girl who had a huge heart. She was given the gift of a liver on April 19, 2014 and gave the gift of life back as a donor. She was a 6th grader at Woodside Middle School. Megan loved spending time with her family, going fishing, and eating popcorn. She was known for being an ornery one and had a wish to become a swimmer and a basketball player. Megan recently learned to play the piano.
She is survived by her parents, Penny Allsup and Lloyd Lee; siblings, Kendall (Josh Roth) Allsup, Brittany (Jesse McDole) Lee, Cassie Lee, Cash Lee, Danielle Lee, and Brody Lee; grandparents, Rita Allsup, Rebecca (Steve) Kellis, Lloyd (Connie) Lee, Sr., and Gloryne Ruby; and the family dog, Diamond. Megan was preceded in death by many loved ones.
Services will be held at Bethany Reformed Church, 720 N.E. 52nd Avenue, Des Moines on Sunday, June 1, 2014. Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. with funeral service to start at 4:00 p.m. Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Oralabor Cemetery.

Megan I love you so much and I miss you more than anything. I think about you every day and how you were always so happy and never let anything slow you down you were always happy. God i miss you so much. You were my bestfriend and the best sister. I feel so lost without you. I feel so bad that I wasnt able to tell you good bye for the last time. I will see you some day big sis. I love you so much

Every time I see Zach and Cash play baseball, I will think of Megan. She was a ray of sunshine during those long Bombers weekend. Always smiling, always happy. She was such a positive young lady. Never a bad word to say about anyone or anything. Even though she had that oxygen tank,and didn't always feel well, it never slowed her down. I will miss her terribly at all of the games to come. She truly was one of the sweetest kids I know. May God wrap Megan in his arms in heaven, where her heart and little body will finally be healthy and and at peace.
She will be in my heart forever.

Megan was one of my best friends.
I miss her so much, every time I think of her it brings tears to my eyes. She is in a better place now. But I wish she was here. I met her this year. You have been wonderful parents,thank you for letting me share the experience with your daughter.

What a sad and terrible loss. Megan will be truely missed. She was a pleasure and a joy to have in class on Wed night and VBS. She had a beautiful smile, loving heart, and endless energy. May God wrap you all in his loving arms and give you comfort at this difficult time.

Never knew your angel but I would see her in church and school every time, she is a beautiful young lady. I was sadden about this loss. Megan is now free of pain and is holding hands with our Savior and looking down and thanking Him for giving her great parents. May God be with you and family at this difficult time.
