Shirley Hatfield

Shirley Hatfield, 71, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Mercy Capitol. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Shirley was born December 26, 1935 in Chariton, Iowa to James and Nellie Moran. She served in the U.S. Navy. Shirley was the manager of Burger Chef on Fleur for many years before her retirement in the early 80’s. She liked spending time at the Logan Senior Center, traveling, gardening and cross word puzzles.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Diana (Michael) Bjorheim of Des Moines and Veronica Holland of Ft. Collins, CO; sister, Theresa Moran of West Des Moines; brother, Michael Moran of West Des Moines; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Hatfield and her daughter, Debra Kay Bryant.
