Julie Lynne Pruis

Julie Lynne Pruis, 53, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014.

Julie was born September 23, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Deloras Northway. She enjoyed attending Saydel High School and cherished all the friendships she made there. She loved her job as a phlebotomist and had close relationships with her doctors and her patients. One of Julie’s great joys was karaoke; she would sing for hours.

Family was important to Julie. Her son, Joshua, was always the bright spot in her life. Her boyfriend, David, was the love of her life. She adored all of her nieces and nephews and always had candy for them. If, for some reason, she didn’t, they were disappointed.

Julie’s life had some very special highs, and some very deep lows. She is traveling a very special path, is happy, and at peace.

She is survived by her son, Joshua Adam Pruis; her significant other, David; her parents; and her sister, LeAnn Helmick.

There will be a memorial service held in Julie’s honor at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, with a reception to follow.
