Brenda June (Wadsworth) Carmichael

Brenda June (Wadsworth) Carmichael, 58, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 8, 2014, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior.

Brenda was born April 3, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa. Her children and family were her life. She was a loving and caring person whose door was always open to anyone in her family and friend in need. She kept a watchful eye on those she cared about and always knew what was going on with those she loved.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Rick; children: Brian Butler, Brandy Dacken (Jason McCann), Brett Wadsworth (Christina Purscell), and Brad Wadsworth (Stephanie); grandchildren: Jennifer, Hope, Brooke, Kaylie, Zack, Brandon, Justin, Alex, Amelia “MiMi”, Andrew, Blake, Corey, Connor, and Caitlyn; and great-grandchildren, Amiyah and Amaury. Also surviving are her step-father, Joseph Watson; sister, Kathy Jayne; nieces: Tracy, Kendra, Lindsey, Angela, and Shelly; and nephews, Cole and Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia R. Watson; father, Robert E. Wadsworth; and brother, Craig E. Wadsworth.

Family will begin greeting friends at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, with funeral beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Berwick Cemetery.
