Ricky Walker

Ricky Walker, 61, passed away suddenly on May 6, 2014 in Des Moines. He was born on April 4, 1953 in Oklahoma to Freeland and Leona Walker.

Ricky enjoyed working in the yard, tinkering with cars and was an all around handyman. Additionally he enjoyed cooking and most of all, spending time with his children and family.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Alissa “Lisa;” children, Ricky, Jr., Elizabeth, JàLeasha Walker; godson, Marquez Allen; sister, Linda Walker; brothers, Buddy, Calvin and Terry Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Lisa Walker.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines with visitation 1 hour prior to services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
