Coralie Hull Cherry

Coralie Hull Cherry went to heaven on May 3, 2014.

Coralie enjoyed life! She loved her family, God, and her many friends. She was an active member of Fort Des Moines United Methodist, Lincoln Alumni Association and volunteered at the Des Moines Playhouse.

She retired from DM Schools after 24 years as a teacher associate. She was known for her Mystery Trips she planned for her friends. She loved reading, writing and traveling.

She is survived by her children, Scyler (Joan), Marcia Heilicser (Bernie), Craig (Marsha), Sheila Van Wyk (Steve), Lisa Oja (Gary), and Aaron (Jen); daughter-in-law Julie; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Ed, her son Kent, parents Ira and Grace Hull and sisters, Virginia Ramsey and Helen Willis.

The family will greet friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Fort Des Moines Methodist Church, 6205 SW 9th Street. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the church followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family, Lincoln Alumni or FDM United Methodist.
