Jack Millard

Jack H. Millard, 77, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014. He was born October 6, 1936, to Harold and Frankie Millard in Des Moines, Iowa.

Jack retired from Pirelli Armstrong after 30 years and was currently working at Wal-mart. He was an avid Hawkeye and Bears football fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Jack above all else loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Dee; children, Becky, Jack (Autumn), Shane, Dirk, and Tad; step-sons, Rick and Todd; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rick and Steve Millard; and sister, Kathy Remster.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry, Bill, Tom, and Jim; step-child, Stacy; nephews, Sean and Lance; and niece, Kim.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2014, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Funeral service will be 9 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, at the funeral home, followed by burial at Avon Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the VA Central Iowa Health Care System in loving memory of Jack.
