Ruth Mitchell

Ruth Mitchell, 85, of Des Moines, died Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Memorial services will be held 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Ruth was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Honorary Chapter at the University of Iowa, and Grace United Methodist Church.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Kenneth; two daughters, Jane (Scott) Long and Mary Mitchell; one son, Mark Mitchell; one brother, Earl (Nita) M. Koele; five grandchildren, Beth and Mitchell Vandehaar, Ryan, Meredith and Annie Long; and son-in-law, Dale Vandehaar
She was preceded in death by a daughter Ann Vandehaar.
