Charles Davis

Charles O. Davis, 87, passed Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Riverview Care Center. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St.
Charles was born October 18, 1919 in Centerville, IA to Houston and Mabel Davis. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Charles was a retired mechanic.
Charles is survived by his sons, Paul (Diane) and James (Nancy) Davis; several grandchildren; four nieces, Penny King, Bonnie Beechum, Diana Lloyd and Lee Ann Davis; extended family, Carnetta and Dale Spencer; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.
