Donald Lloyd James, 92, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.
Donald was born April 25, 1921 in Salem, Missouri to Lloyd and Bertha (Sutton) James.
He is survived by his children, Sandy Clark, David James, Doug (Karen) James, and Jeff James; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Georgia; three brothers; and three sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m.Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.

I was sorry to hear about Don's passing; he and my grandfather Charles J. James were brothers, I wish I had gotten the chance to know my DSM family better, I fell out of favour with my dad's parents when I was a kid. I remember Don sitting next to my Dad at grandpa Chuck's funeral at St. John's, and remember how much he and Grandpa looked alike.
