William "Bill" Webster

William “Bill” Webster, of Norwalk, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, with his loving family beside him. Bill was born on August 6, 1942, to Lessie Rose (Honeywell) and Walter Webster in Villisca, Iowa.

Bill served his country proudly in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marines. He worked for many years at the Mumford Meat Packing Plant. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and playing darts.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Doris; children, Teresa Smith and Adam (Jennifer) Webster; grandchildren, Jacob, Courtney, Marissa and Tabitha; sister, Pat (Bill) Irish; several loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob Webster; sisters, Beverly Baylor and Kay Howard; and niece, Cindy Howard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2014 at First Assembly of God Church, 1700 W. 2nd Ave., Indianola, Iowa. Burial will follow the service at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola. Family will greet friends starting at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the church.
