Sherri Stamper

Sherri L. Stamper, 53, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at Unity Point Hospice Taylor House.
Sherri was born December 26, 1960 in Des Moines to Gerald and Marjorie Davis. She was raised on the Southside of Des Moines and graduated from Lincoln High School. Sherri worked for Polk County Juvenile Detention Center and Polk County General Assistance. She enjoyed crocheting, being outdoors and gardening. Sherri loved her animals and her work buddies but above all, she loved being a grandma.
Sherri is survived by her husband, Tyrell Stamper; daughter, Jerika (Daniel) Haus; her beloved grandchildren, Anthony Stamper, Alex Haus and Annalynn Haus; sister, Dawn Davis; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home followed by burial at Lowman Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Unity Point Hospice Taylor House.

So sorry to hear of Sherri's passing. I worked with her a few times when she filled in for our area. A wonderful person. Praying for your friends to comfort you, faith to uphold you and living memories to heal your hearts.

I am so sorry to hear of Sherrie's passing. Although I didn't work with her, I only heard good things about her from those who did. I cannot imagine what you're going through right now and will be in the days ahead, but my thoughts are with you during this sad time.
