Lawrence Butters, 56, passed away March 24, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
Lawrence was born April 27, 1957 in Des Moines, Iowa to Lawrence and Frances Butters.
He was a truck driver and enjoyed bowling and pool. He was a very talented mechanic.
Lawrence is survived by his children: Joe (Sara), Jason, Stephanie and Ashley; three grandchildren; and sisters, Victoria VanGorp, Kayla Lett, and Beverly Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Kimberly.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. A graveside service will be held at Berwick Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29.

Joe and Jason. So sorry for your loss. Your mom and dad were my good friends back when we were all so much younger. They are finally reunited and will be together for eternity.

I feel fortunate to have worked and known Larry. He lived life with a passion to be admired; a man with a good heart. My children think I am a good pool player, thanks to him. Godspeed Larry.
