Service Details

Daniel Wayne Tollenaar, 51, died Thursday, August 16, 2007, at Kavanagh House on 56th Street. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2007 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00pm Sunday at Hamilton’s Near Highland Memory Gardens. Cremation will follow the service.
Dan was born May 30, 1956 to Norma and Bob Tollenaar in Des Moines. He was self employed most of his employment years. He was a graduate gemologist, a journey-man carpenter and is the sole inventor and patent holder of Danback. Dan was notified that he was selected for inventor of the year award which will be held October 5th, 2007 in Iowa City.
Dan is survived by his wife, Kathy Tollenaar and children, Tyler Senecaut, McKenzie Tollenaar, and Levi Tollenaar; his mother, Norma (Tollenaar) Thompson; his sister, Connie McDonald; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Bob Tollenaar; and his best furry friend, Nicky.
