Edward Eugene Dykes, 79, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center.

Edward was born March 5, 1935 in Mercer, Missouri to Earnest and Mary Dykes. He served his country in the US Navy and was a heavy equipment mechanic. Edward is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Penni Rogers; sons, Todd (Robin) Spratt and Rod (Betty) Spratt; eight grandchildren; sisters, Agnes (Ivan) Faux and Mary Lou; and brother, Vaughny Dykes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Traci.

A celebration of life picnic will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
