Michael Somsavath

Michael Somsavath, 48, was born December 29, 1965 in Vientiane, Laos the son of Somsavath and Nouth Peeramoon. He passed away March 12, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Michael enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with his nieces, nephews, and family.

Michael is survived by his siblings; Phouvaly Chounlamountry, Joe (Tae), Khamla Thepsourine, Kevin (Thadany), Khamlei (Souphatsady), Khamdeng (Orlando) McClain, Noi (Nikone) Dara, Stephanie Ickes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Hamilton’s Near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. The family will greet friends Friday evening from 4 to 8 at Hamilton’s.
