Sondra J. Wessel, 71, passed away at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.

Sondra was born August 4, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Wessel; children, Rick (Kathy) Wessel, Russ Wessel, and Carol (Tom) Kilmer; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Garry (Carol) Aller, Jim (Lois) Aller, Danny Aller, and Harry (Bunny) Aller; and sisters-in-law, Betty Aller and Dixie Aller.

She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Wessel; parents, Harry and Ruth Aller; and her brothers, Larry Aller and George Aller.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, also at the funeral home, with burial at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Sondra.

Sondra will be missed but she will always be in both our hearts and our memories.
