Bernice Nuzum, 93, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at home. Bernice was born March 16, 1920 to Ferris and Daisy (Douglas) Fowler in Rose Hill, Iowa.
Bernice is survived by her children Terri Noland, Penny McPherson, and James Nuzum III. She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Grandchildren. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, 8 siblings, and an infant daughter, Suzanne.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Altoona Funeral Home. Visitation will be held two hours prior at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nuzum worked many years as a mental health technician at Iowa Lutheran Hospital where she was known for her kindness and compassion. She helped many individuals over the years.
