Monsingh Duleepsingh, 88, was born September 12, 1925 in Trichi, India, the son of Paul and Mary Monsingh. He passed away March 8, 2014 at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines.
Monsingh was educated as an industrial and mechanical engineer, and retired from the D.O.T. as a computer programmer in 1990. He was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Des Moines. Monsingh was an avid reader and enjoyed sports and solving crossword puzzles.
Monsingh is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Duleepsingh; his sister, Krishnabai Charles, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church, 3010 52nd Street in Des Moines, with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church in loving memory of Monsingh.

Dorothy, my deepest sympathy to you at that loss of your life's companion, Monsingh. Our paths crossed first many years ago when I was in the Iowa District ALC office. Always, since, I enjoyed the friendly greetings from both of you whenever our paths crossed.
May you receive the full measure of God's comforting love and a renewed hope in the promise of the Resurrection.

Our condolences for the Family of Monsingh Duleepsing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dorothy Duleepsing and family. God has blessed us with wonderful memory of our dear uncle Monsing Duleepsing. He loved the Lord, and God's Church especially Grace Lutheran Church at Des Moines. As Psalmist says: "... and I will dewell in the House of the Lord" Psalm 23:6.
