Ruth Goldstein

Ruth Goldstein, 86, was born September 19, 1927, in Jamaica, New York, the daughter of Harry and Lillian Gelb. She passed away at her home in Carlisle on March 3, 2014.

Ruth was a free-spirited woman and had a love for the game of poker, her favorite being Texas Hold ‘Em. She called Vegas home for many years. While there, she worked at Palace Station as a cashier, but would also fill in as a prop when needed. Ruth enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking.

Ruth is survived by her children, Gary (Cheryll) Goldstein, Joel (Laura) Goldstein, and Barbara (Dan) McLaughlin; grandchildren, Kristin Goldstein, Mark Ross, Caitlin McLaughlin, Stephanie (Nate) Miltenberger, Shawna (Neil) Johnson, and Chris Keck; great-grandchildren, Jaylynn, Jordan, Ava, Jaydyn, and Hunter; former spouse, Al Goldstein; brother, Sonny (Bella) Gelb; and her sister, Ellie (Gene) Friedman. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Alex Goldstein; and sister, Frances Rogosin.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
