Paul Fletcher

Paul Fletcher, 48, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 after a brave battle with cancer. Paul was a positive person with a great sense of humor. He stayed strong and never let cancer defeat his spirit. His favorite past-time was golfing and he was a great cook, giving each dish his signature spice. He was employed in the construction trade, could trouble-shoot any problem, and enjoyed working with his hands. Paul liked searching out bargains in second-hand shops and at auctions, always looking for the next good deal. He loved his daughters and spending time with his special little girl, Augusta Rose.

Paul was born July 27, 1965 in Bitburg, Germany to John and Ann Fletcher. He is survived by his wife, Laurie; daughters: Tiffini Fletcher, Tabatha Fletcher, Brittni Mack, Brigitt Selvidge, Veronica Fletcher, and Augusta Rose Fletcher; step-children, Sara Ramsey Schellin and Michael Ramsey; nine grandchildren plus one on the way; father, John; and siblings: Carol, Edward, Daniel, Renee, and Jennifer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann and siblings, John and Denise.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014, also at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
