Heather Adair

Heather Ann Adair, beloved daughter and mother, passed away Friday, August 10th in Johnson County. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Altoona with visitation from 6-8 Tuesday at the church.
Heather was born March 14th 1969 in Centerville, Iowa. She attended South East Polk where she played basketball on the 1987 Girls State Basketball Team. After graduation, she continued playing basketball for William Penn College in Oskaloosa. She was a care giver, mentor and teacher to special needs children and young adults for Child Serve where she worked for the last 15 years. She also was a teacher’s assistant for 10 years with the Johnston Public School District. Heather enriched the lives, not only of her students, but also the lives of her family, friends and especially her children who were her greatest joy.
She is survived by her mother, Minhon; her father and stepmother, Britt and Chris Adair; daughters, Stefani and Erin; a son, Cayden; brother, Beau Adair and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Don and Moana Kiester, Britt Sr. and June Adair; cousin Bradley Kiester; and her special friend Delores Pierce.
Memorial contributions may be made to Britt C. Adair Jr. In care of Heather’s children.
