Ruth Ann Rummans

Ruth Ann Rummans, 51, was born June 14, 1962 to Frederick and Mary (Medici) Rummans in St. Charles, Louisiana. She passed away suddenly following a surgery on February 22, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Ruth was a cook for the Waukee and Granger schools for many years, and was most recently working at Kennybrook Village as a dietary manager. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Granger.

Ruth stayed active and involved with her daughter’s many activities, and was considered a second mom and grandma to many of Danielle’s friends. Ruth loved animals and enjoyed riding motorcycles and gardening.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Danielle Mott (Donovan Grove); her father, Fred Rummans; brother, Fred Rummans; sisters, Laura (Clark) Trotter and Denis (Joe) Corso; parents-in-law, Dick and Jean Mott; sister-in-law, Linda Mott; as well as many nieces, nephews and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Mott, and mother, Mary Medici.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 1901 Locust Street in Granger.
