Beverly Geppert

Beverly Geppert, 57, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Unity Point Health Des Moines Methodist after complications from an illness. Beverly was born April 11, 1956 to Corluiss and Dorothy Gruver.

Beverly worked for many years for Wellmark as a registered nurse. She loved her church and was an officer of Medora United Methodist Church. She was an active member of United Methodist Women. Beverly loved her animals, which included 3 horses, two cats and four dogs. She took great pride in her flower garden. She enjoyed having cookouts at her place along with bonfires. Beverly had a true zest for life. She lived her life caring for people and animals. She will be greatly missed.

Beverly is survived by her husband, David; her siblings, Frank (Suzi) Gruver and Barb Smith; her uncle, Carl (Lillian) Bennett; and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Visitation will be held on Sunday starting at 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
